LinkedIn Provides New Insights on The Improvement of the Quality of Search Results
LinkedIn has shared new insights into how it is refining its search and discovery elements with the search algorithm. This will be placing less emphasis on aligning to the user's interests, and more on maximising broader discovery and diversity, as engagement levels on the app continue to rise. LinkedIn has also eliminated some of the elements which narrowed user's search results based on registered interests. They have also included a new diversity element which ensures more exposure to a wider variety of creators. This will also amplify creators with more diverse backgrounds within its display which has led to significant engagement improvements. Finally, LinkedIn has outlined their plans for building on existing work which includes the likes of highlighting more search topical results to help users access related, trending content from prominent creators, focusing on detecting trending content quickly, plus more.

BeReal Rises to 10 Million Daily Active Users
The latest photo sharing app has just surpassed 10 million daily active users, making it one of the fastest-growing social media platforms of 2022. ’Your Friends for Real’, BeReal challenges the posed and polished Instagram posts that we’re used to seeing and encourages unedited, candid posts.
Every day at a different time, everyone on the app is notified simultaneously to capture and share a photo in two minutes. In this way, BeReal is a breath of fresh air from the ‘highlight’ reel we see on Instagram, letting users see what their friends are really up to in their day-to-day life. BeReal also offers a unique way to interact with your friends with real emojis to display genuine sentiment.
As Instagram and TikTok become more detached from their users with algorithms designed to prioritise ads, new social media platforms such as BeReal are focusing on providing Gen Z with an authentic way to communicate with friends.
BeReal has embraced its younger audience and have added this comedic warning to their Apple Store listing:
/!\ WARNING /!\
• BeReal won't make you waste time.
• BeReal is life, Real life, and this life is without filters.
• BeReal will challenge your creativity.
• BeReal is your chance to show your friends who you really are, for once.
• BeReal can be addictive.
• BeReal might frustrate you.
• BeReal won't make you famous. If you want to become an influencer you can stay on TikTok and Instagram.
BeReal is making a big impact in the industry, and Instagram has already put plans in motion to create a new ‘candid’ feature to compete. We’d love to know your opinion on BeReal, will candid photography make FaceTune a thing of the past?

Now when users shop from a product Pin in Hosted Checkout, users can select the product they want, click 'Buy' to enter the Hosted Checkout experience via Shopify, and then enter final details such as shipping and payment.
