Tiktok’s Culture Drivers mini-site
TikTok has launched a mini-site called Culture Drivers which highlights some of the top creator and brand partnerships on the platform from over the year. The mini-site includes an overview of the partnerships where you can learn more about the campaigns. The site also features an ‘A-Z of TikTok’ which is a guide to TikTok trends, broken down into 26 short videos.

Snapchat launches AR shopping showcase
Snapchat is continuing to expand with eCommerce and has partnered with a number of big brands for several AR-focused shopping initiatives such as ‘Snap Holiday Market’. This includes AR shopping experiences from Coca-Cola, Hollister, Amazon, Verizon, Walmart and Under Armour. Each brand will have a dedicated virtual store environment where users can browse products and holiday deals.

Twitter shares insights into holiday shopping trends
Twitter has shared insights into shopping trends for the holiday season. In partnership with AdAge Studio 30, Twitter looked to identify the key shifts in shopping habits, brand mentions, products and more. The research highlights the trending categories in holiday shopping in comparison to 2020, comparing 2019 brand mentions during the holidays with 2020, plus more.

Reddit is integrating Dubsmash’s video editing tools into its camera
Reddit announced that it will shut down Dubsmash as a separate app by February 2022. Dubsmash allows users to create videos based on music clips with users being able to add filters and effects. Now, Reddit is looking to integrate its video editing tools into the Reddit camera.

Clubhouse adds more language support and updates its topics function
Clubhouse has announced additional language support for 13 more languages in the app, available on Android: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Farsi / Persian, Hausa, Igbo, Marathi, Nepali, Somali, Thai, Turkish, and Yoruba, with more languages and iOS support on the way. In addition, they have also announced updates to its Topics function, which helps users to find rooms, clubs and users. This includes adding more interests, along with new Topics pages to showcase the top search results, rooms, clubs and people related to each topic, plus more updates.

LinkedIn adds more tools to creator mode
LinkedIn has added LinkedIn Live as well as a newsletter option to its Creator Mode. LinkedIn Live will enable users with Creator Mode turned on to broadcast to their followers in the app. LinkedIn is also providing Creator Mode users access to newsletters. Whenever a new article in the newsletter is published, subscribers will receive automatic push, in-app and email notifications.

Twitter launches test of live-stream shopping
Twitter has launched an initial test of live-stream shopping on the platform. Twitter’s live-stream shopping will enable users to join a live broadcast with shopping options displayed under the video. As it stands, users will be to join a live tweet discussion or view the Shop tab which showcases products discussed in the broadcast.
