TikTok Launches ‘TikTok Now’ Feature

TikTok has introduced “TikTok Now” which is their newest way for users to connect, by posting either a photo or 10 second video at a random time each day. This feature can be likened to the BeReal app, which recently reached 10 million daily active users. This has understandably become inspiration for other social media platforms as users value the unfiltered nature of the BeReal app. In terms of who can view the post, TikTok will offer users the choice between many different privacy settings.

Meta Announces Facebook Reels API

Meta has announced the launch of Facebook Reels API which will enable the sharing of Facebook Reels to publicly available Facebook pages from a desktop/web application. This will enable 3rd party platforms to hold a “share to reels” feature within the sharing options in their apps. Meta has already partnered with Wix, Jellysmack and Sprout Social upon the launch to integrate the Facebook Reels API.

Meta Adds New Tools For Creators On Facebook

Meta has announced a range of new creator focused elements on Facebook to help creators who use Pages, namely their new Creator Endorsement notification feature. Through Creator Endorsement, creators can now recommend that their fans follow another creator they admire via a direct notification. Meta has also launched new Post and Story templates which auto mentions top fans, allowing creators to show their appreciation for the users. In addition, creators can now share content exclusively to top fans and subscribers, with an option coming soon to share early access to special content.
